Problem: The company was using basic dial-up service to check email and perform some business functions over the internet. They also where copying a database to disk and sharing the updated information via floppy disk. Essentially there where on sneaker-net and need to upgrade to ethernet.
Solution: Installed switches and firewall/routers to create a network. Upgraded the company’s internet access to high speed. Created shared drives where documentation could be accessed by all employees through the use of Workgroups.
